DIRECTOR BIO

KRISTINE BREMER brings 23 years of professional experience to the studio. She has also owned studios in Wisconsin & Arizona. Kristine has been interviewed by Dance Teacher Now Magazine and is listed in the National Register of Who's Who in Executives & Professionals. She has received training from Sherry Holzapfel School of Dance, Omaha Ballet, Creighton University, Omaha Community Playhouse, University Nebraska-Lincoln, Green Bay School of Dance, Milwaukee Ballet, River North Dance Co., Steps on Broadway, Broadway Dance Center, Joffrey Ballet, Joel Hall, David Howard, Duprey, Tremaine, Al Gilbert, Chicago National Dance Masters, New York on the Road, Dance Educatiors and West Coast Dance Explosion. In college, Kristine received ASDTA's Outstanding Performer of the Year award.  Kristine teaches beginning through professional dance levels for ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, Irish, lyrical & modern.   She  choreographs for show choirs, dance teams, ice skating teams, gymnatistic teams, cheerleaders, musicals & competitions.


 

TEACHERS

ROS has a curriculum for all levels of dance. All teachers at ROS teach from the same syllybus and curriculum. This guarantees continuity throughout the studio.

 

SANET HALCK   is from South Africa and has lived in the United States for almost one year.  Ms. Halck started her dance training at the age of 3 and is trained in R.A.D. ballet training.  She has studied in many areas of the Middle East, Egypt and United states.  Sanet has been teaching Middle Eastern dance & performing for over 15 years and is affiliated with the Belly Dancing Association of South Africa.  Ms. Halck teaches modern, classical, and folkoric dances from Egypt, Arabia, Morocco and Gypsy-Bedouin style dancing. Sanet teaches ages 3years-adult.  She also offers a fun, intense, aerobic style class called Belly Sweat for adults ages 16years & older. Ms. Halck also serves on ROS Examination & Advisory Board.

 

REBECCA HAMATA  bio coming

 

LAUREN NAVRATIL started dancing in 2003 at the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities in Colorado where she trained in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop.  In 2005, she joined the pre-professional company known as Arvada Center Dance Theatre(A.C.D.T.)  Lauren moved to Nebraska in 2007 with her family.  She continues her training with Omaha Academy of Ballet and dancing with the UNO "MOVING COMPANY".  She has performed in  musicals, including "Hello Dolly" at the Chanticleers Theatre.  Lauren has taught dance for the Art Start program in Colorado as well as substitute taught at O. A.B. 


KAYLYNN RAKOS has taken dance for 17 years and taught for 3 years. Kaylynn has received training from ROS, Green Bay School of Dance, Milwaukee Ballet, Duprey, Tremaine, Chicago National Dance Teachers, & WCDE.Kaylynn was the reciepient of the 'OUTSTANDING JAZZ DANCER" from Duprey in Chicago in 2001. Kaylynn was also ROS's 'OUTSTANDING JR DANCER OF THE YEAR" in 2000.          Kaylynn does private coaching and teaches ballet, tap, jazz, & hip hop for ROS. She presently serves as Assistant to the Director, Stage Manager and is a substitute teacher for ROS.  Kaylynn is also one of the Director's greatest accomplishments, her daughter.

TEACHERS IN TRAINING is a teaching program where the dancers are trained in all aspects of teaching, including the ROS curriculum & syllibus.


 ASSISTANT TEACHERS are chosen by the director & trained to assist the teachers during dance classes for children. Their primary purpose is to be guided by the director to learn what is involved in teaching and to help out the teacher by demonstrating steps and helping students during class. Beginning 06/01/08, all students must be atleast 12years old to be considered for the assistant teacher program.  There is no compensation for this program.
